Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our team. The CNS will serve as an expert in clinical practice, providing advanced nursing care, consulting with healthcare staff, and leading evidence-based practice initiatives. This role involves working collaboratively to improve patient outcomes, develop clinical guidelines, and mentor nursing staff to enhance overall care quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert Clinical Practice: Provide expert nursing care and consultation to patients with complex conditions, ensuring high standards of clinical care are maintained.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor nursing staff in clinical best practices, providing guidance on patient care techniques, protocols, and evidence-based practices.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes across the organization.
  • Education and Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Research and Evidence-Based Practice: Lead research efforts and evidence-based practice initiatives, integrating research findings into clinical practice to improve patient care outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and administrative staff, to coordinate and improve patient care services.
  • Policy Development: Assist in developing and revising clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices.
  • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient rights and needs, ensuring that patients receive respectful, safe, and quality care.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a specialization as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and CNS certification in the state of [Insert State].
